The mission of Allen Neighborhood Preservation & Development Corp. (Allen NP&D) is to focus on the preservation, revitalization and restoration of historically undeserved and underutilized communities in Southeast Queens by way of networking, offering workshops, consulting services, and providing resources which will focus on housing and local commercial needs.

OUR PROGRAM

INCREASING NEIGHBORHOOD STABILITY AND SUSTAINABILITY

Our services focus on fundamental core components geared towards increasing neighborhood stability and sustainability, including:

Innovative resident services and community engagement initiatives
Novel approaches to mobilizing both financial and human resources in support of our mission
Case assistance, workshops and training in the areas of:

income affordable housing
first time home buyers
home maintenance
job training/job placement
financial education
debt elimination/consolidation
budget and estate planning

OUR STANDARD

DELIVERING EXCEPTIONAL SERVICE AND QUALITY OF LIFE

We offer financial literacy and debt elimination/consolidation workshops, so that families are able to make informed financial choices. We accomplish this through partnerships with MWBE programs and through referrals from other locally run programs. Our goal is to see an increase in debt control and increased credit scores by participating clients. Additionally, we are closely involved with servicing the needs of our senior population who are aging in their homes, in senior residences or with family members.

We provide targeted services, and case assistance to our seniors that addresses their nutritional, recreational, educational and health needs. Our ongoing efforts of homelessness diversion continues to offer informed housing assistance and case management to families, veterans and victims of domestic violence by identifying appropriate subsidies and offering other services. Our goal is to overcome the instability created by homelessness.
