HOW WE WILL DO IT

  • Our goals are to advance an agenda which create and maintain both commercial and residential revitalization in the Southeast Queens community. We will continue these efforts by retaining our 17 commercial tenants.  We negotiate and restructure rents when needed to ensure stability in the commercial hub.  As required, we work with the entities where cash flow may be a matter of concern and this allows them to remain in place with flexible terms.  This type of negotiation allows for a continued sustainable commercial hub and a vibrant supportive community.  The working relationship with our businesses builds economic strength through retention of local funds and jobs.

STRATEGIC PLAN

  • We also seek to create new public and private relationships to further our agenda of revitalization. This has led to established relationships with CitiBank, Queens Economic Development Corporation, MWBE certified Barak Asset Management, LLC and Sutphin Boulevard Business Improvement District. With these relationships and partnerships, we have been successful in providing workshops and resources for financial literacy, first time home buyers, foreclosure prevention, residential and commercial education, and job placement. We continue to develop relationships that will support our goals in every area, thereby increasing neighborhood stability.
